    Mario Bekes

     A natural leader, public speaker, result driven entrepreneur, published book author, relationship-builder, and facilitator with experience in investigative techniques and interviewing, interrogation methods, and corporate human and competitive business intelligence.​
     I started my career in the Department of Defence, Republic of Croatia as an 18-year-old. I was sent straight into combat with limited training, and I fought in the Croatian war for independence for more than 1,800 consecutive days. ​
     During my career in the military, I went through multiple educational, academic and training institutions to master skills in investigations, counter-terrorism, interrogations and human intelligence operations.
      ​In 1998 I was transferred to the Department of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Croatia and after​ extensive training, I was sent to the Croatian Embassy in Australia as head of security-intelligence operations until 2003.
 In 2003 I settled in Australia and started my journey from being bouncer, courier, kitchen hand, cleaner till reaching a corporate role as National Loss Prevention Manager. The Global Financial Crisis created obstacles and I finally decided to form my own company Insight Intelligence Group, premium provider in investigative and intelligence solutions. I am tremendously thankful to all my employees, clients, and contractors who make Insight Intelligence Group a great company.
​ During my journey and building Insight Intelligence Group I ventured into the world of writing books (mostly on the topic of investigations and intelligence) which resulted in writing the best seller “The Blood-Soaked Soil” despite English not being my native language. ​
